How to Have a Date with Yourself
Dating is difficult enough if you have to rely on someone else to do it with, but having a date with yourself can be fun and infinitely satisfying. By nurturing yourself in the dating process, you can treat yourself exactly like you want and deserve to be treated. The personal love fest starts now!
Do you love flowers? You don't need to wait for someone to buy them for you. Having fresh flowers in your home or on your nightstand will nurture your soul and heart. It's a sweet indulgence that is not expensive, and hugely valuable when dating yourself.
Having dinner by candlelight does not have to be saved for special occasions. When making dinner for yourself, set the table, light some candles, and put on some of your favorite music. Eating alone does not mean you have to stand at the counter and wolf down some food. Grab your favorite book, and enjoy your meal.
Is there a restaurant or movie you want to see? Make a date with yourself to do both. You can pick a restaurant you have always wanted to try, and see a movie that's been high on your list. While dining you have the choice to interact with other patrons, or sit quietly and people watch. The main thing is to enjoy the time doing what you like to do, and feel comfortable and powerful doing it.
Whether you want to spend the day at the beach, try out a new cafe', or attend a concert or a play, you can create memorable dates for yourself. Never put off something you want to do because no one else wants to go. By putting yourself first, you will have a life full of rich experiences and memories, and your confidence levels will soar.
