My name is Tom Leavey.  I have been a professional musician for over half a century.  I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, and have just completed radiation treatments.  Doctors told me that radiation therapy will not allow the bad cancer cells to replicate.  The cancer cells would die leaving only healthy cells to rejuvenate and return my body to a healthy state.  Great!  I will be cured!  While going through the process of understanding this disease, I used additional tools to rid my body of the cancer.  I began investigating using musical frequencies to help in the healing process and found that certain notes produced frequencies to which the body would respond.  In order to increase the amount of healthy cells and assist in their rejuvenation, I chose the Key of D# to compose a song that would rejuvenate cellular tissue throughout the body.  I listen to this song several times a day still, and played it in my mind while being treated at the Tomo-Therapy machine.  This entire process solves the mystery to me as to why cancer became part of my life; it is to help myself and others with this disease. After the treatment, I noticed feeling more energetic and full of hope.

ADDITIONAL INSIGHTS

My own investigations into music as healing, led me to the work of Jonathan Goldman.  It is here I learned that music has been used since ancient times for healing and transformation. The ancient cultures of Greece, Rome, Egypt, Tibet and India had great knowledge of sound as being the primary creative force in the universe.  The ancients knew what the modern physicists now understand, that all is in a state of vibration.  Everything is frequency.  Sound can change molecular structure.  This is a scientific fact.  As we know, everything in the universe is in a state of vibration, from the chair you may be sitting in to the paper you are now holding.  All the various parts of our body are also in a state of vibration.  When we are all in a state of health, all these bodily parts are working together in harmony, creating an overall harmonic of health.  If one of these parts begins to vibrate at a different rate, this is what we call disease.  One of the basic concepts of healing with sound on the physical body is to project the correct resonant frequency of the organ, or whatever is out of balance, back into the body.  In other words, to create balance and alignment in the physical body.  Sound healing is a vibrational therapy and can be understood as being energy medicine.

THE ILLUMINATION MUSIC 

On August 14th. 2007 I was diagnosed with Prostate
cancer and my whole world changed as a result. You
might say this was a negative.
It turned out to be the beginning of the
"ILLUMINATION" music that has been my
most positive musical experience
in my 50 yrs of composing while playing drums,guitar
and bass. When I got the news from the doctors I was
surprised when I handled it with serenity and
confidence that I would beat the cancer.
I set up a regime of 43 radiation treatments to combat
the bad cells that were invading my body. Before I
started the treatments I met with healer & psychic,
Linda Becker, whom I met through my wife Wanda. We had
a 2 hour session that ended with her telling me that I
would survive the cancer but I had to have a clear
vision of what I wanted to do with the rest of my
life. Without thinking about it I said I wanted to get
my music out to as many people as possible. I asked
Linda if she knew anything about using music as a
healer and she knew that it has been used down through
the centuries with positive results. I started
researching this and discovered that the body responds
to different frequencies and that these translated to
musical notes. This bought me to the fact that the key
of D Sharp could be used for cell rejuvenation.  Before
starting the radiation I picked up my guitar and it
was like my fingers were responding to another source
other than me. I composed a piece called D Sharp and
played the song before, during, and after each
radiation treatment. This music is structured with
simple repetitive melodies that can be remembered and
played in your head without electronic equipment.
During each radiation treatment I played D Sharp
during that five minutes in my mind. I pictured the
bad cells being destroyed and the good cells being
rejuvenated and felt a sense of doing battle while
being in a serene place. Fear was replaced with a
sense of well being and that the cancer was losing the
war. I have always known how powerful the mind is and
felt that if I told my mind I was winning the battle
that the body would respond and be free of disease.
This music is in harmony with the universe and has all
the power needed to give our bodies and mind complete
balance to be harmonically in tune. Use it as it was
intended, and give back whatever gifts you have been
given to make our world a better place.

Note:  Tom Leavey passed away on February, 20, 2011.  He had beat cancer, was enjoying his wife and daughters,  and was working on the 3rd CD in the series of healing music.  After stomach ailments and a subsequent heart attack, Tom reluctantly gave up his fight on Earth so he could continue to do his work from the Other Side.
